Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is an American-Lebanese barrister, human rights advocate and an philanthropist. She was born Amal Ramzi Al-Amuddin. Following her graduation from the Oxford University School of Law she pursued a successful and long-lasting career in human rights and international law. Some of her clients are the nation of Armenia that is fighting against the Turkish government over the recognition and apology of the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney became engaged in 2014 and later got married to American actor George Clooney. She instantly became a household word. Prior to this she was respected and admired in the legal world for her achievements and ability to represent clients. The job she has is to represent multinational corporations during court hearings and discussions regarding government regulations, in addition to human rights or social justice. Since 2015, Doughty Street Chambers is located in London and she is a barrister.
