Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian that has been in the business for a long time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. She was seen on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling CliodhnadhSullivan (born on March 16, 1984) is also known as Aisling bea, is an Irish comedian, writer and actress. Bea started her stand-up career in the year 2011, following appearances in bits in several Irish TV shows as well as British series from 2009. In 2012, she began appearing in sketch comedy shows, sitcoms, and other similar programming. After she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear often in various panel shows. From 2016 to 2017 she was a team captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as a frequent participant for the sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. She was in 2012 the only woman in history to be awarded the So You Believe you're Funny award. Bea's surname is in honour of her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian took his life when he was just three years old. He was a horse veterinarian. Bea wasn't told the specifics of his passing before she reached the age of 13. The stage name she chose was Bea in honor of her father and wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about her family's experience of suicide. Bea's mom Helen was also a trainer for jockeys as well as a former professional jockey was responsible for raising her as well as Sinead. Their family was passionate about horses and races. Bea began her career as an official guide for tourists for the Irish National Stud. But she quickly realized that her passion was for performing and not racing.
